Halloween is over-commercialized and I'm sad.

It never bothered me overly much that Christmas has been so commercialized. Maybe that's because people who are offended by this can go to church, and be all religious and all that, go commiserate about how commercial it all is and whine about the "war on Christmas" just because someone at a store says "Happy Holidays" because NOT everyone is a Christian, and it is OK with society.
But it still isn't really that cool as far as society as a whole is concerned to actually be a witch. Oh, you can be into Harry Potter, and all that, but being a true witch is something too many ppl still can't accept.
So it just makes me all sad that even though Halloween is big now, every store now has virtually the same Halloween stuff, and it's not the quality it used to be.
And no, the decorations and stuff never had all that much to do with real witchcraft, I know, but it was at least more fun when it wasn't all... you know... popular.

Today

Today the weather was very lovely.
Today I wore a flowy black babydoll style dress, but did not take any pictures of this.
Today I ate the leftovers of a lobster dinner I got last night.
Today was not yesterday, and is not tomorrow.
Today is not over yet, but will be fairly soon.

Squirrels

I took a walk around the neighborhood with my mother this evening.
As we passed near a large tree, we heard the noise of many small objects falling through the branches and striking the ground.
Squirrels ran around through the tree branches, knocking down acorns.

Now, do you know why the squirrels knock the acorns down from the trees before gathering them up?
It is exceedingly difficult to scamper about a tree while holding on to your nuts.
That's why.

Hello

Hello, there.
I did have a blog on Blogger a long time ago, but hadn't used it in some time, as I concentrated on Live Journal.
I couldn't find my old blog, so now I'm starting a new one.
