Sadness

So far, the only place I have talked online about the passing of my oldest cat, my beloved Mira, is on Twitter. I know that she deserves a full tribute. I've been both too stunned and too busy to come up with anything. See, even though she was my oldest cat, she was going on 13, which is not all that old- except for a cat with FIV it is- except she seemed so healthy...
And basically, she died of a heart attack, suddenly, so it was truly a shocking, unexpected death.
I just want to say, I love my Mira girl, and always will, as do my mom, dad, and Mira's feline housemates.
I guess it's good for me to just get this out there before too much time passes.
She died Feb 5th, a bit more than a month ago, and I am still not used to her not being around here physically.
I do know she is around in spirit, as I and the other cats have felt her presence.

Spelling Bees

I won my school's spelling bee two years in a row- 5th and 6th grade.
In 5th grade I didn't go to the city bee, as they were not allowed to send 5th graders.

I came in second in the city in 6th grade.

I went to the district and was 25th.

But that's OK, because the next year I won the spelling bee on the moon.

Except for the bit about the moon, this is a true story.
